I'm not a keyboard player, so for me this was great because I just needed access to trigger those notes Also, more pads give you more access to more octaves. I can't tell you how sweet it was to have 64 chops ready to chopped up. More Pads than Touch and Maschine Studio, 64 to 16. You don't even need Push 2 to run Ableton.
Ableton is such a powerful DAW on it's own, with so many features and tools. (Maschine hardware is obviously made for Maschine Software, but Abletons DAW is a fully fledged-daw at this point.
